Expired Paysafecard PIN — What to Do

Paysafecard PINs don't have a strict expiry date, but inactivity fees can drain your balance over time. Here's everything you need to know.

Does Paysafecard Expire?

Technically, Paysafecard vouchers do not have a hard expiry date like a gift card. However, after 12 months of inactivity (no transactions using that PIN), Paysafecard begins charging a monthly maintenance fee of €2.00 per month.

This means a €10 voucher left unused for 17 months would have a remaining balance of €0 — completely drained by maintenance fees.

Can You Exchange a PSC With Remaining Balance?

Yes — as long as your Paysafecard PIN still has a remaining balance above our minimum exchange threshold of €10, you can exchange it. First, check your balance at paysafecard.com/balance, then submit your exchange request.

What if My Balance Is Below €10?

If inactivity fees have reduced your PSC balance below €10, we recommend combining it with another voucher. You can use up to 10 PSC PINs in a single exchange. As long as the total value reaches €10, we can process your exchange.

Can I recover a fully drained PSC?

No. Once the balance reaches €0.00 due to maintenance fees, the voucher cannot be restored. Contact Paysafecard customer support for exceptional cases.

How do I stop the inactivity fee?

The easiest solution is to exchange your unused PSC balance before 12 months of inactivity pass. Alternatively, making any small purchase using the PIN resets the inactivity clock.

Is the inactivity fee the same in all countries?

The €2/month fee applies in most European countries. Fees and currency may differ depending on the country where the voucher was purchased.
