Paysafecard PIN Not Working? 7 Common Reasons

Before assuming your PSC is invalid, check these 7 common causes — most are easy to fix.

1. The PIN Has Already Been Used

The most common reason a PSC PIN is rejected is that it has already been fully spent. Check your balance at paysafecard.com/balance. If the balance shows €0.00, the voucher has been exhausted.

2. You Entered the PIN Incorrectly

Paysafecard PINs are 16 digits long. Common mistakes include confusing 0 (zero) with O (letter), or transposing two digits. Try entering the PIN slowly, double-checking each digit against the physical card or receipt.

3. Inactivity Fees Depleted the Balance

After 12 months of inactivity, PSC charges €2/month in maintenance fees. A €10 voucher left for 17 months will have a €0 balance. Check your balance first.

4. Regional Restriction

Some PSC vouchers are region-locked. A voucher purchased in the UK (GBP) cannot be used on an EUR-denominated website, and vice versa. Ensure the voucher currency matches the payment currency.

5. The Merchant Doesn't Actually Accept Paysafecard

Not all websites that display the Paysafecard logo are current partners. Check the official paysafecard.com merchant directory to verify the site is an authorised partner.

6. The PIN Was Compromised or Scammed

If someone obtained your PIN before you used it (common with PINs shared over email or photographed), the balance may already be spent. Never share your PSC PIN with anyone before exchanging it yourself.

7. The Voucher Was Refunded

In some cases, a previous transaction was cancelled and the amount was returned to the PSC PIN. Check your PSC transaction history via your myPaysafecard account.

What to Do If None of the Above Apply
